What it does
Enter a monthly salary paid in Saudi Arabia and choose your home country. Hisaab shows three things:
- what the salary is worth in your home currency at today's exchange rate
- what a job at home would need to pay, before tax and compulsory deductions, to leave you with the same money
- how many months of your country's minimum wage one month of your Saudi pay equals
Who it is for
People from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Egypt, the Philippines and Nepal who work in Saudi Arabia or are thinking about it, and the families who plan around that income. The calculator is available in English, Hindi, Bengali, Urdu and Tagalog.
Where the numbers come from
Income tax rules, compulsory contributions and minimum wages come from official sources for each country's current tax year. The sources for every country are listed on the calculator page, next to the assumptions we make. Exchange rates update daily. When a country changes its rules, we update the calculator.
Independent and free
Hisaab is an independent project. It is not connected to any government, employer, recruitment agency or money transfer company. There is no sign-up and there are no ads.
A guide, not advice
Whether you pay tax at home depends on your own situation, especially how many days a year you spend there. Use Hisaab to understand the numbers, and check anything important with the tax authority in your country.
